Today officially ends Josh's vacation. Not that he has really been on vacation in the past month. He has been very busy with classes, transition, and getting our household settled. But his sabbatical from the military is officially cut short.
Literally.
Here is the "I've been on vacation for the past 3 months look":
Here is step one: hair gone Step two: beard gone
We have been joking and wondering all morning if people will recognize him today?
That's funny because when you first posted a picture of him with his hair grown out I had to look twice. It took me a second to recognize him. If I had passed him on the street I might have walked right by. lol From my perspective he looks familiar again.
I meant Lieutenant Hammans!! How could I mess that up!! And, Yes, he has been looking unrecognizable to me too but the St. Louis people know the civilian face. ;-)
"This life, therefore, is not righteousness but growth in righteousness, not health but healing, not being but becoming, not rest but exercise; we are not yet what we shall be, but we are growing toward it; the process is not yet finished, but it is going on; this is not the end, but it is the road." --Martin Luther
I recognize the shirt, does that count? You look like an officer and a gentleman, Mr. J. Hammans. God's blessings on this special day!
